The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) in 2008 to cater to the educational needs of the meritorious rural
youth of Andhra Pradesh. Every year 1100 students per campus are admitted into 2 year Pre University Course (PUC) leading to 4 year B.Tech program.
RGUKT has its constituent campuses in the following locations:
1. Nuzvid, Eluru District
2. RK Valley, Kadapa District
3. Etcherla, Srikakulam District
4. Ongole, Prakasam District
1. RGUKT invites applications from eligible candidates in the following cadres of teaching positions on purely temporary contract basis in the below mentioned disciplinesinitially for one semester, extendable for another semester based on the work load requirement as per university norms or till the regular faculty recruitment is completed whichever is earlier. Guest Faculty who worked/working with RGUKT may
also apply, if interested.
I. Lecturer (Contract) – for two year PUC program
II. Assistant Professor (Contract) – for four year B.Tech program
a. PUC Program: (Lecturer) Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Telugu, Biology.
b. B.Tech Program: (Assistant Professor)
i)Engineering:
Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics
Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME)
ii)Other Subjects: Biology, English, Management, Mathematics

Period of Contract:
The faculty positions are purely temporary. The term of appointment will be initially
for one semester, extendable for another semester based on the work load
requirement as per university norms or till the regular faculty recruitment is
completed whichever is earlier.
Compensation:
The faculty recruited will be paid a monthly consolidated amount of Rs. 35,000/- (For
Assistant Professor (contract)) and Rs. 33,000/- (For Lecturer (contract)) without any
allowances. Additionally, an amount of Rs.5000 will be paid to those who possesses
Ph.D. qualification and eligible as per G.O Rt. No. 110, Higher Education (UE) Department, dated 06-07-2022.

Applicants must have passed P.G. Degree (M.A. or M.Sc., or M.Com.) in the relevant
subject/language with a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks in P.G. Degree
Examination from any recognized University.
Assistant Professor (Contract):
Qualifications:
Engineering Subjects: B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech in relevant subjects with
first class either in UG or PG
Other Subjects: P.G with 55% marks and (NET/SET or Ph.D.)

i) Rule of reservation will be followed as per AP State Government norms including
horizontal reservation.

iv) The number of vacancies in each department is subject to variation, depending on the actual requirement.
v) The contractual teaching candidates selected and appointment in the university on
contractual terms shall not have any right to claim regularization of their services in
the university.
vi) University reserves right to transfer the selected candidates to any of the campuses
depending on the need and work load.
vii)The university reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all of the above posts.
