1. The Samagra Shiksha, Department of School Education is inviting Online applications for the posts of principal, PGTS, CRTS, PETS, accountant in type -III KGBVs, warden and part time teachers in type -IV KGBVs from the eligible woman candidates for filling up of the posts of Principal; Post Graduate Teachers; Contract Residential Teachers, Physical Education Teachers on contract basis and Accountants, Wardens and Part time Teachers on outsourcing basis for the academic year 2024-2025of teaching and non-teaching posts in 352 type-III KGBVs and 145 type-IV KGBVS located across the State except East Godavari, Dr. B.R.A. Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur.

This notification is subject to the outcome of the WA.No.288/2024 and all other court cases pending before the Hon'ble High court of Andhra Pradesh.

KGBV Recruitment Notification 2024 Age Limit:

A candidate should not cross 42 years of age as on 01-07-2024. However, in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates the maximum age limit shall be 47 years and in case of differently abled candidates the maximum age limit shall be 52 years. For Ex-service women the maximum age limit is 45 years.

KGBV Recruitment Notification 2024 Educational Qualifications:

a. Principal:

Must possess any Post-Graduation Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST/Differently abled persons.

And

Must possess B.Ed.,/M.A education from NCTE/UGC recognized Universities with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST/Differently abled persons.

Post Graduate Teachers: Academic Qualifications:

Must possess two-year Post Graduate Course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master's Degree from UGC recognized university with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs;40% for SC/ST/Differently abled persons in the relevant subjects as specified as under:

1. PGT(English) -Post graduation in English.

ii. PGT (Civics)- Post graduation in Political Science

iii. PGT(Commerce)- Post graduation in Commerce with Accountancy/Cost Accounting/Financial Accountancy as a main subject/ Master of Financial Analysis provided having B.Com in Graduation level.

Note: Post Graduation Holders of M.Com in Applied/ Business Economics are not eligible for the post of PGT-Commerce.

iv.PGT (Economics)- M.A., in Economics/ Applied Economics/Business Economics/Rural Development/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics.

a. MA Rural Development with not less than 50% of marks with 2nd class from recognized university.

b. If candidate with above qualifications are not available MA Economics with Agricultural Economics on MA applied Economics may be preferred with not less than 50% of marks with 2nd class from recognized university.

c. If candidate with above qualifications will not available, candidates with MA Economics may be considered with not less than 50% of marks with 2nd class from recognized university.

c. Contract Residential Teachers (CRT): Academic and Professional Qualifications:

Must possess four year integrated degree course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate or Second Class Bachelor's Degree from the UGC recognized University with atleast 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs, 45% for BCs, 40% for SC/ST and differently abled persons in the concerned subject(s) in aggregate including electives and Languages in the combination of subjects specified.

And

Must possess B.Ed qualification from the universities recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs, 45% for BCs,40% for SC/ST and Differently abled persons in the concerned subject(s)

And in case of CRT-Telugu and Hindi, Pandit Training from a recognized institution as specified under.

i. Contract Residential Teacher (Telugu):

A Bachelor's Degree with Telugu as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects / Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) or its Equivalent /a post Graduate Degree in Telugu with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ ST/ Differently abled persons.

ii. Contract Residential Teacher (Hindi):

A Bachelor's degree with Hindi as one of the full elective subject/Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Hindi (B.O.L) / Praveena of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha / Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad/ any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (BA degree Standard)/ Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST/Differently abled persons.

A Bachelor's Degree with English as the main subject (or) one of the optional subjects/ a Post Graduate Degree in English with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ ST/ Differently abled persons.

And

B.Ed., with English as a methodology subject with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST and Differently abled persons.

iv. Contract Residential Teacher (Mathematics) -

A Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional Subjects with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST and Differently-abled persons.

And

B.Ed with Mathematics as methodology subject with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST and Differently-abled persons.

v. Contract Residential Teacher (Physical Science)-

A Bachelor's Degree with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects (or) one as the main subject and other as subsidiary/ ancillary subjects Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics &Instrumentation and Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry/Geology/ either Physics or its allied subjects/ Chemistry or its allied subjects with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST and Differently- abled persons.

vi. Contract Residential Teacher (Biological Science)-

A Bachelor's Degree with Botany and Zoology as optional subjects or one of the two as main and the other as subsidiary subject with at least 50% of marks in aggregate for OCs; 45% for BCs; 40% for SC/ST/Differently abled persons.

7. Medium of Instruction:

English is the medium of instruction in all KGBVS. However, the candidates who pursued their studies in both English, Telugu Medium are also eligible to apply as per their educational qualifications to the concerned posts.

Note: The candidate should study English as one of the subjects up to graduation level

8. Selection Procedure:

All selections shall be made purely on merit basis duly awarding certain weightage marks for the academic performance of the candidates in both academic and professional qualifications.

The merit in both academic and professional qualifications for the post of Principals, CRTS, PGTs and PETs posts shall be calculated for100 marks as detailed below.

KGBV Recruitment Notification 2024 Merit Calculation for the Post of Principal and PGTs:

1. SSC - 10 Marls
2. Intermediate - 10 Marks
3. Degree -20 Marks
4. Masters Degree -30 Marks
5. B.Ed -20 Marks
6. Service Weightage will be given for 10 marks 1 mark per year- 10 Mrks

Total Marks -100

AP KGBV Recruitment Notification 2024 Calculation of weightage / Merit

1. If a candidate secured 450 marks out of 600 in SSC Exams, then the weightage shall be calculated as 450/600 x 10= 7.5 marks

2. As well as the secured marks in Intermediate is 755, out of 1000, then the weightage shall be calculated as 755/1000 x 10 = 7.55

3. For degree, if the secured marks is 825, out of 1000, then the weightage shall be calculated as 825/1000 x 20 = 16.5

4. For PG, if the secured mark is 800, out of 1000, then the weightage shall be calculated as 800/1000 x 30 = 24.00

5. For B.Ed. if the secured mark is 875, out of 1000, then the weightage shall be calculated as 875/1000 x 20 = 17.5

6. If a candidate working in KGBVs for the past ten academic years, she will be given 10 marks @ 1mark per each completed year.

7. If a candidate completed six months or above in an academic year, the same shall be calculated as one year.

8. If the candidate has worked for below 6 months, the same shall not be considered as a completed year and in such case, no weightage shall be given for such period.

Note: If any Board/ College/ University has issued their degree's in grade point system/ CGPA then the grades of the individual shall be converted into percentage as explained here under:

Formula - Achieved CGPA X 9.5

For example, if a candidate achieved 9.0 CGPA points in her SSC/Intermediate/ Degree / PG then her percentage is 9.00 x 15/24  9.5=85.5%.

In this case the total secured marks achieved by the individual in a 100% scale is 85.05.

Ineligibility

a. The candidates who have worked in the KGBVs earlier and terminated on disciplinary grounds, misappropriation of funds, deviation of the legitimate duties are not eligible to apply.

b. The candidates who pursuing degree final year, post-graduation and B.Ed during the academic year 2024-25 are not eligible.
