STENOGRAPHERS (GRADE ‘C’ & ‘D’) NOTIFICATION 2015

F.No.3/6/2015-(P&P-II): Staff Selection Commission will hold on Sunday, the 27th December 2015,
an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’( Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted ) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’(Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted).
Candidates having required skills in stenography as explained in Para 11 (2) only need to
apply.
2. Vacancies:
(a) Tentative vacancies for Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 50(UR-28,SC-05,ST-08,OBC-09)
(b) Tentative vacancies for Stenographer Grade’D’:1014(UR-642,SC-113,ST-61, OBC-198)
(c) Vacancies of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ are in Ministries/Departments of Central Government,
located mostly in Delhi.
(d) Vacancies of Stenographer Grade ‘D’ are for Ministries/Departments of Central Government
including Attached/Subordinate offices located in States and Union Territories all over the
country.
3. Reservation:
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ExS/PH i.e. (Persons with disability (PWD)/ etc. categories is
available as per extant Govt. Orders.
The posts have been identified suitable for the persons suffering from disabilities of forty
percent (40%) and above of One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), Both Legs(BL), Partially
Blind(PB) and Blind(B).
4. Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention
of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East
African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika
and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of

permanently settling in India.
